When the news hit about the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Rollstone Bank & Trust became an official collection center for the American Red Cross and offered to match the first $5,000 in donations. Donations came over the counter from customers, as well as local schools and businesses who were interested in the matching program.
The bank ended up donating over $11,000. According to Linda L. Racine, executive vice president of Rollstone Bank & Trust, 91 cents of every dollar will go directly to help those affected by the disaster.
Rollstone Bank & Trust has seven branch offices, including one in Harvard.
