An officer on patrol noticed an unoccupied postal vehicle with its lights on in the post office parking lot at 2:59 a.m. The vehicle was locked and the officer was unable to gain access to shut off the lights. At 2:06 p.m. police responded to the scene of a minor accident that took place at the General Store, when a truck ran over the stop sign at the corner. The Department of Public Works was notified to repair the sign. The ambulance took a woman from a South Shaker Road residence to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 4:57 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a three-car accident on Ayer Road at 5:03 p.m. All three cars had been heading north on Ayer Road, when the first car slowed to make a left-hand turn. The second car slowed to a stop and was struck from behind by the third car. One person was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center; one car was towed. A written warning was issued to the driver of the third car.
Wednesday, March 24
A Bolton Road resident reported at 1:22 a.m. that he had heard a noise outside his home, and subsequently heard someone ring the doorbell. Police checked the area but found no sign of anyone there. At 1:33 p.m. Acton police notified Harvard police about a Harvard resident who had written a bad check to a carwash in Acton. Harvard police spoke to the man about the incident. Acton police issued a no-trespass order barring the man from future visits to the carwash. At 6:15 p.m. a Slough Road resident reported being harassed by her ex-husband. Police advised her of her rights to obtain a restraining order.
Thursday, March 25
The ambulance transported a woman from a Prospect Hill Road residence to Emerson Hospital at 2:03 p.m.
Friday, March 26
A caller reported at 5:57 a.m. that there were arcing electrical wires on Ayer Road near Route 2. Police checked the area but found nothing. At 6:05 a.m. a caller reported arcing wires and a power outage on Warren Avenue. Police checked the area and notified National Grid, whose technicians replaced a utility pole. At 10:29 p.m. a caller reported suspicions that a guest from Florida at the youth hostel might be a fugitive. Police checked the man’s background and determined that the man had no criminal record. The ambulance took a man to Emerson Hospital from a Cruft Lane residence at 11:25 p.m.
Saturday, March 27
The DPW was called out at 7:50 a.m. and 9:41 a.m. to sand icy roads. At 12:36 p.m. Foxborough police alerted Harvard police to look for a man believed to be traveling to Littleton Road who was thought to be suicidal. Police did not locate the man. A caller reported at 1:50 p.m. that a neighbor’s dog was loose. Police notified the dog officer. At 3:09 p.m. police made note of an unoccupied vehicle parked at the fire pond on Shaker Road. At 9:07 p.m. an officer on patrol stopped to investigate eight youths observed at the Shaker Cemetery. The youths were given a verbal warning for trespassing. At 9:37 p.m. an officer on patrol stopped to investigate a car from Jamaica Plain parked at the town beach, and advised the driver to move along. At 10:04 p.m. an officer on patrol made note of an unoccupied vehicle near the railroad tracks on Still River Depot Road.

Monday, March 29
At 11:10 a.m. a caller reported that $30 had been stolen from a cash box on Oak Hill Road. The case is under investigation. An employee at Dunkin’ Donuts notified police at 8:28 p.m. that she had found a threatening note. The case is under investigation.
