On behalf of For Art’s Sake, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who made our valentine-making workshop a fun creative gathering. Special thanks to Betsy Taylor-Kennedy of Holly Hill Framing in Westford for paper supplies; Jeff Schwarz of ISS in Shirley and Dona Neely of Devens Ecostar for recycled materials; Jackie Normand, Carolyn Carbonell, Liz Hawkes, Leslie Ekings, Greta Minervini, and Michele Girard for their donation of wonderful paper and craft supplies and their help with organization and setup; Harvard art teachers Cindy Harris and Julie Cook for inspiration and the loan of pencils, scissors, and glue; and thanks too, to Mark the helpful custodian at HES.
A very big thank-you to all the creative artists who came out on a cold day to warm each other’s hearts and remember their loved ones with a handmade token. We had loads of fun, didn’t we? Let’s get together again soon! Don’t forget to check out the photos on the event page of our website at www.forartssake-harvard.org.
Thanks also to everyone who contributed valentines as part of the new For Art’s Sake Valentine Exhibition now on display at the General Store. Proceeds from the sale of handmade valentines will benefit the Donna Sherman Art Scholarship.
