Thanks for transfer station changes

February 5, 2010

As I sat at home last weekend contemplating forcing myself to recycle my household garbage in 6-degree weather, I suddenly and pleasantly recalled that the town recycling area has been completely revamped. No longer must I stand and sort my plastics from my cans or try to decide whether my cardboard is corrugated. (I did learn it had something to do with the separation of the layers of the cardboard.) I can drive quickly up the hill to dump my household garbage. What a terrific improvement!

So I decided to act as the movie suggested, “pay it forward,” and offer a huge thanks to all involved for giving us a very expedited and enjoyable process to encourage our green conscience.
