Joint Meeting of Garden and Woman’s Clubs
At a joint meeting of the Garden Club of Harvard and the Harvard Woman’s Club, guest speaker Bill Graham, owner of Beautiful Things in Salem, will give a talk entitled “The Little Black Dress,” Monday, Feb. 22, at Holy Trinity Parish, 15 Still River Road. Graham will talk about a wardrobe complete with accessories and coordinating floral designs. The luncheon meeting will be at 11:15 a.m. and the presentation will start at 12:15 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public. New members are welcome. Holy Trinity Lenten Series
Holy Trinity Parish will host the Take 5 Series for Lent, starting Wednesday, Feb. 24, and running every Wednesday during Lent. Each week will feature a soup-and-bread dinner in Deacon Hall of St. Theresa’s Church in Harvard starting at 6 p.m., followed by a program in the church from 7 to 8 p.m. The first session, Catholic Social Teaching: A Call to Social Justice, will be lead by Fr. Thomas Massaro from the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College. All are welcome.
Bromfield Rowing Information Session
Bromfield Rowing invites students in grades 7 to 12 interested in rowing to an information night Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Bromfield School library. The rowing season will start March 1 and run through early June. Practices will be Monday through Friday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Bare Hill Pond, and races will take place on weekends. New rowers can check out what rowing is like by going to one of the practices the first week or trying a simulated row on the team’s rowing machines in Bromfield’s Information Technology room. Lego Club
The Harvard Public Library will host a Lego Club for children age 5 and older Saturday, Feb. 27, from 1:30 to 3 p.m at the library. Participants should bring their own Lego and/or Duplo bricks. Creative building is encouraged; the library will have Lego books available for inspiration. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun and assist with supervision. Preregistration in the Children’s Room is requested. Enrollment is limited to 20.
Notorious, Radio Theater
The Harvard Friends of the Arts (HFOA) will stage its second Volunteers Theatre of the Air presentation, Notorious, the Lux Radio Theater broadcast of 1948, live and on stage, Saturday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Volunteers Hall. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Lux Radio Theater, a long-running classic radio anthology series, initially adapted Broadway plays and then films for its hour-long radio programs performed live before studio audiences. The production team for Notorious will feature Harvard actors Bob Eiland, who is also producing and directing; Tim Clark; Mary Helan Turner; Keith Turner; and Judy Wong, who is acting and running sound effects; and Pamela Hill from Ashby. All the actors will play multiple parts. Jonathan Williams will run the sound board, and Chris Frechette and Pat Natoli are helping to produce.

Original Student Production at Lawrence Academy
The Lawrence Academy theatre department will present an original production, Barefoot…and Late for History, Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Richardson-Mees Performing Arts Center on the school’s campus in Groton. Student actors, including performers from Harvard, collected dreams—some of their own and some from interviews with others, some fanciful and some frightening—and wove them together into a celebration of imagination highlighted with instrumentals, vocals, and dance. Admission is free.

19th-Century Lithographs of Native Americans
The Gallery at Indian Hill is exhibiting hand-colored lithographs by Joseph O. Lewis of American Indians from the early 1800s now through March 12 at 36 King St. in Littleton. March Madness Basketball Tournament
Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School will hold its 16th annual March Madness Basketball Tournament from Sunday, Feb. 28, to Wednesday, March 10, at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, 1050 Westminster St., Route 2A, at the Fitchburg-Westminster line. NRWA Outdoor Survival Series
The Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) will offer a four-week, afer-school Outdoor Survival Series for 11- to 14-year-olds on Tuesdays, March 2 through March 23, from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. at the NRWA River Resource Center, 592 Main St. in Groton. NRWA naturalists/educators will help participants explore woods, meadows, and waters, and learn cold-weather survival skills, as well as build shelters and cook outside.
