Thanks for Fall Into Fashion support to benefit COA

October 16, 2009

We would like to thank the community for supporting last week’s Fall Into Fashion show to benefit Harvard’s Council on Aging. A great time was had by all, and money was raised to support future programs that support our senior community.

We are grateful to Fruitlands for their very generous support of our efforts, and to Gould’s for supplying the clothing and conducting the show. Little did we know we had such modeling talent in Harvard! Many thanks to all of our models representing Harvard clubs and organizations, our generous sponsors and many silent auction donors.

Behind the scenes, we depended on the talents and hard work of some terrific folks including Pat Natoli, Jonathan Williams, Casey Clark, and Andrew Ojeman of the Cable Committee along with Bromfield senior Danny Eisenberg. A special thanks to BJ Pessia who, with the support of Chris Basile of the Quarterdeck and Pat Jennings, prepared the delicious food. We appreciate the support of Sue George (Harvard Sweet Boutique) and Valerie Hurley for delicious desserts and Steve Abrams and Claire Rindenello for beautiful music. Decorations were created and set up by Pam Gross, Deb MacKenzie, Michelle Swearingen, Jan Goodell, and Edie Hettinger. Many thanks as well to all of the community members who helped with passing food, dessert set-up and clean-up, including Jayne Blain, Jane Thomsen, Barbara Kemp, Catina Hayden, Al Barbieri, Carol Landry, Julie Moberly, and Carol Panek Clark. Greg Schmidt and Tim Clark were great escorts for our models.

It was a pleasure working together again this year with our committee of Marcie Donahue, Mina Levitsky, Anne Marie Rowse, Ellen Leicher, and Renee Senes.
