I strongly endorse Marie Sobalvarro for the Board of Selectmen. I’ve come to know Marie well through our mutual involvement with Harvard Help. Several years ago, Marie began as a volunteer driver with us, cheerfully driving Harvard residents to appointments one day each month. Recognizing our lack of sufficient volunteer drivers, Marie thought up, coordinated, and launched the Harvard Volunteer Fair. The last two fairs have increased Harvard Help’s visibility to newer residents and also netted new volunteers for the organization.
Marie is the consummate detail person without ever losing sight of the big picture. She has the ideas and the follow-through to get things done, whether for our small volunteer organization or for the major issues confronting our town. She’s vitally interested in preserving that which makes Harvard unique, and we would be well-served to have her on the Board of Selectmen.
