The National Center for Health Statistics recently released a widely quoted data brief authored by Bromfield graduate, epidemiologist Margaret Warner, Class of 1984, daughter of Judy and Andy Warner of South Shaker Road. The brief reported an alarming increase in fatal poisoning by opioid painkillers, strong medications prescribed by physicians. Warner is a graduate of UMass-Amherst and earned her Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons.
