Depot Road resident Bart Morrison has been named interim dean of the University of Charleston Graduate School of Business in Charleston, West Virginia. Morrison will leave his post at the Department of Business Studies at Assumption College in Worcester to replace Charles Ryan, founding dean of the UC Graduate School of Business, who will retire July 1. Morrison has taught extensively in undergraduate, masters, and doctoral programs, and has done extensive research, publication, and conference presentations. He is a Sloan Foundations industry studies affiliate and past nonprofit fellow at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western University. This spring Morrison was awarded the 2009 “Best Published Paper on Accountability and Leadership” at the University of Pittsburgh. Morrison, his wife, Chris, and their two children will move to Charleston this summer. Morrison’s role as interim dean is expected to be made permanent later this year.
