Tuesday, May 12: At 10:43 a.m. a caller reported seeing someone hiding behind a phone pole in the center of town. Police investigated and found it was a runner who had stopped to stretch.
Wednesday, May 13: An Ayer Road resident called at 8 a.m. to report that the previous evening she had seen a suspicious-looking woman in an older-model gray car in her driveway. She did not get a license plate number and was unable to provide a clearer description of the vehicle. At 8:05 a.m. a Poor Farm Road resident reported a suspicious-looking green sport-utility vehicle near her driveway. Police did not locate the vehicle. A Depot Road resident called at 10:06 a.m. to report that a window on her neighbor’s house was open and the screen had been removed. Police found that a young man in the house had removed the screen to get rid of a wasp in his room and had neglected to put it back. A man stopped at the police station at 4:38 p.m. to report that he had purchased a car on eBay from a dealer in Florida and had received the vehicle, but not the title. Police called the dealer to inform him of the oversight. The title, they were assured, is in the mail. An officer on patrol at 11:17 p.m. noticed a car parked at the elementary school and asked the driver to move on.
Thursday, May 14: A caller reported at 11:07 a.m. that a tree had fallen and was blocking a portion of Littleton Road. Police notified the Department of Public Works (DPW) and sent an officer to direct traffic until the tree was removed. The ambulance transported a man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from a doctor’s office at 4:03 p.m. A caller reported a tree in the road near Stow Road and Haskell Lane at 4:44 p.m. Police notified the DPW and stood by until the hazard was removed.
Friday, May 15: An officer on patrol at 3:02 a.m. stopped to investigate a car parked behind the Dunkin’ Donuts building and found that it was disabled, and the tow truck summoned by the driver had just arrived. At 8:55 a.m. a Shaker Road resident reported that a paving truck was driving up and down driveways in the neighborhood. The driver told police that the paving material in his truck had been intended for a job that had been canceled and he was looking for someone who might want to buy it. Police asked him to move on. An Old Littleton Road resident reported at 9:31 a.m. that his 12-year-old child had been receiving harassing text messages from someone in Colorado. The case is under investigation. The ambulance transported a man from the Bromfield School to Emerson Hospital at 2:25 p.m. An Ayer Road resident reported at 3:10 p.m. that a green pickup truck was parked across the street and the driver was digging up lilac plants in his neighbor’s yard. Police determined that the lilacs were on town property. At 3:34 p.m. a woman came to the station with her young daughter, who had just slammed her wrist in the family’s car door. The police officer and emergency medical technician on duty bandaged the injury, and the mother took the girl to the hospital. Police received a report of a single-car accident on Route 2 at 4:07 p.m., but did not locate an accident scene in the area. They notified Littleton police, who discovered the accident in their jurisdiction. A young man was taken by ambulance from the soccer field on Depot Road to UMass Medical Center at 5:15 p.m. At 8:10 p.m. the ambulance responded to a call regarding a person who was unresponsive at an Old Shirley Road address. When the ambulance arrived, the person had revived, and transportation to the hospital was refused.
Saturday, May 16: At 2:17 a.m. a young woman was taken by ambulance from the Bromfield School to Emerson Hospital. A woman attempting to park her car near the Common at 10:37 a.m. accidentally rear-ended another car. There were no injuries or citations; one car was towed. At 12:06 p.m. a man stopped at the station to report that someone had stolen a computer monitor and stepstool from his unlocked car while it was parked on Bolton Road. The case is under investigation. At 3:06 p.m. someone stopped at the station to report a possible abandoned boat on Bare Hill Pond. Bolton police requested the help of Harvard officers in addressing an incident in that town at 6:32 p.m. An Ann Lee Road resident reported that there was an intruder on his property at 11:44 p.m. Police checked the area, but found no one.
Sunday, May 17: Bolton police requested the assistance of Harvard police in searching a suspect at 12:47 p.m. A young woman was taken by ambulance from a Still River Road address to Clinton Hospital at 3:20 p.m. A worker at Dunkin’ Donuts reported at 11:10 p.m. that there was a silver Audi “doing donuts” in the dirt area behind the building. Police located the car and gave the driver a verbal no-trespass order.
Monday, May 18: At 10:15 a.m. police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and issued the driver a summons for forgery of motor vehicle documents and for being unlicensed. At 7 p.m. a Depot Road resident reported that a man with a backpack had just gone through his house. Police did not locate the man.
