Voter registration deadline looms
Those not already registered to vote in Harvard have until Friday, April 10, to register to vote at the May 2 Annual Town Meeting and the May 5 town election. The town clerk’s office will be open April 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. for voter registration. For more information call the town clerk at 978-456-4100.
Vicksburg Square proposal hearing planned
MassDevelopment and the Joint Boards of Selectmen (JBOS) Vicksburg Square Subcommittee will hold an additional public hearing in Ayer Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall upstairs in Ayer Town Hall to gather feedback on MassDevelopment’s request to change the zoning and housing cap for Vicksburg Square.
Harvard Adult Ed offers spring programs
Harvard Adult Education is now accepting enrollments for spring classes. New offerings include “See How Much Fun You Can Have with Dead Fish,” “Expressing Your Style for Less,” tai chi, dance, yoga, kayaking, and more. New plots available at the Community Garden
The Harvard Community Garden has opened a few new plots at its sunny Littleton Road site and is welcoming new gardeners, experienced or not. Plots are 200 to 400 square feet in size and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for application is April 30. If there is more interest than space available, garden members are available to help locate and start a new Community Garden in Harvard. Applications and details are available at HarvardLocal.org.
