Join us for Walk for Hunger in Boston

April 24, 2009

In two weeks a group of Harvard volunteers will join the Harvard Hunger Resistance Movement and participate in the 41st Walk for Hunger in and around Boston. We have been accepting pledges and have arranged for a Walk for Hunger school bus to take us from Harvard to Boston Common and back. On our return to Harvard, we’ll enjoy a supporter-made potluck supper in the Fellowship Building just off the Common.

This May 3, all are welcome to join us in this 20-mile event. Come on out and meet some people you may not normally hang out with, get some exercise, and help a very worthy cause. So let’s pool our resources and see what the town of Harvard can do to fight hunger in our area.

As the state’s leading anti-hunger organization, Project Bread is dedicated to alleviating, preventing, and ultimately ending hunger in Massachusetts. Whether you have never walked in “the walk” or have never missed one, please join your neighbors and walk with us on Sunday, May 3. To sign up for the team you can register online at projectbread.org or contact me for more information at 978-456-9570 or susiemac@charter.net.
