I would like to recommend that Patty Wenger continue serving the town of Harvard as a member of the School Committee. I worked closely with Patty on the Bromfield School Council for four years before she joined the School Committee. Patty was tireless in gathering research to support and inform our council discussions. When we were looking at the athletic fee structure, she interviewed numerous athletic directors of towns across eastern Massachusetts, learning about their policies and presenting that information to the council. I appreciated her willingness to hear all opinions offered, to engage in discussing them and to move the group toward action. As co-chairman of the council, she helped to keep the agenda relevant and the meetings productive. She put in many hours gathering community members to participate in the community service project presentations required for graduation. Townspeople were able to see Bromfield students giving back to the community. She has put in many hours as a chairperson organizing the after-prom party. Her commitment to serving our school community is proven by her hard work. Patty’s familiarity with the teachers, administrators, parents, and townspeople makes her an ideal advocate to represent our interests on the School Committee.
