Bromfield freshman Ally Farren competed at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in Portland, Maine, Thursday, March 5, and with her teammates earned a score of 62.31, which earned them the title of 2009 U.S Silver Medalists. The team, the Colonials, representing the Colonial Figure Skating Club Inc. of Boxborough, competed against 11 other teams from across the United States.
Farren has been skating for the Colonials for four years; this is her fourth time competing at the national level. She is the daughter of Kris and Jack Farren of Mill Road and granddaughter of Toni and Jack Purdy of Littleton Road.
