Thanks for a successful Pumpkin-Athon

November 7, 2008

For Art’s Sake thanks all community members who carved pumpkins and brought them to the cemetery wall on Halloween. It was an awesome night in town and a special treat to see more than 200 pumpkins aglow on Mass. Ave. Special thanks to art students of Julie Cook, Colleen Pearce, and Cindy Harris for their enthusiasm in carving their amazing pumpkins, to Sharon Chandler’s Art and Cloth students and FAS artists and members who brought their inspiring creations to the wall and for helped light and set-up; to the Harvard police for helping us create a safe walkway to view the wall; to Rich Nota for hauling the pumpkins away from the wall; and to the Community Garden for their eagerness in composting the whole lot.
