As vice president of the Board of Directors of Fruitlands Museum, I would like to thank the people of Harvard for their ongoing friendship for the museum and their overwhelming support this week on Question 4—Harvard’s liquor vote. As one of the keepers of Harvard’s past and preservationists of its future, the museum has struggled with the financial realities of the 21st century. The vote yesterday will assist the museum to meet those realities. Fruitlands Museum will not take its responsibility or support from the community for granted. For more than 90 years we have been a part of this great community and look forward to continuing to work together to maintain and preserve Harvard’s history and beautiful landscape.
