Former Harvard resident, music director
Dianne M. Dickson, 61, died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at home in Lynn with her family after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late George H. “Dick” Dickson, and the former wife of the late John C. Osborne, Sr.
Dianne was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine (DiPietro) Loguerico. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School and resided in Lynn for most of her life until moving to Harvard, and then Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
Dianne was a member and master director of the Sweet Adelines International group where she spent many years singing and performing several varieties of music. She performed in many shows and competitions all over the country with Sweet Adelines and enjoyed being a member and director. She was an avid lover of music and loved to sing and play the piano. She was also an avid photographer, seamstress, and enjoyed making clothes, blankets, and costumes. She was also a member of the Royal River Chorus in Maine.
Dianne is survived by two sons, John C. Osborne Jr. and his longtime companion, Suzanne Randell, of Windham, N.H., and James W. Osborne and his wife, Katherine, of Kirkland, Wash.; four grandchildren; and many dear friends and relatives.
A memorial funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home in Lynn. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For the online guest book visit www.mem.com.
