Tuesday, September 30: A woman who had fallen was transported from an Ayer Road address to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 4:13 a.m. At 9:37 a.m. a man reported that someone had accessed his Visa card and had made purchases that were shipped to North Carolina. Harvard police are investigating and will forward information to police in that state. A motorist called at 2 p.m. to report that she had witnessed an accident in which a vehicle had hit a utility pole on West Bare Hill Road. She said she had taken the driver to Emerson Hospital. Upon investigating, police found that the car had sustained heavy damage and ordered it towed. They notified Verizon about damage to the pole.
Wednesday, October 1: Nothing of significance to report.
Thursday, October 2: A minor accident was reported at 7:52 a.m. on the Route 2 off-ramp, when one car rear-ended another that was stopped awaiting entry into the northbound lane of Ayer Road. There were no injuries. At 9:09 a.m. a student was transported from Bromfield to Emerson Hospital after experiencing an allergic reaction to nuts in a granola bar. A caller reported at 9:49 a.m. the loss of a pink cell phone in a black leather case, somewhere near the Depot Road soccer field. A motorist called the station at 6:52 p.m. to report a vehicle blocking traffic on Bolton Road. The resident at that address said the car would be moved.
Friday, October 3: Police investigating a complaint of a barking dog on Ann Lee Road found no one home at the address in question and subsequently asked the animal control officer to contact the owner.
Saturday, October 4: At 6:09 a.m. a caller reported seeing a bag on the side of the road with what looked like feet hanging out of it. Upon investigating police found it was rolled-up fencing with stakes sticking out. A caller on Houghton Lane reported at 10:42 a.m. that a cream-colored Cadillac had been in the area for the last couple of days, and that the driver had said she was from the census bureau. The car was gone when police arrived.
Sunday, October 5: At 4 a.m. a man called 911 looking for directions to Interstate 495 from the General Store. A police officer investigated, but the car was gone. A caller reported at 8:32 a.m. that a Porta-Potty was in the middle of Stow Road near the I-495 bridge. The responding officer moved it to the side of the road. Bolton police called at 10:38 a.m. to say they had received a report of someone being cruel to a dog on Bolton Road in Harvard. The officer investigating reported there was no cruelty—just a very stubborn dog. At 1:45 p.m. someone on Stow Road called the station looking for information regarding harassing phone calls. At 3:14 p.m. someone was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center with Advanced Life Support on board. An employee at Dunkin’ Donuts called at 3:48 p.m. to report that a man from Tewksbury had left his disabled truck at the order window for more than two hours. The employee called a tow company to remove the vehicle, but the owner removed it just as the tow truck arrived. At 7:39 p.m. a caller on Sherry Road reported that a woman had walked into her house after backing her car over a wall across the street. Responding officers noticed that the woman appeared to be mentally unstable and requested that the Boxborough ambulance transport her to Emerson Hospital for psychiatric evaluation. Her car was towed, and an officer filed an “immediate-threat” notice with the Registry of Motor Vehicles in order to have her driver’s license suspended.
Monday, October 6: A motorist reported at 12:44 p.m. seeing a red truck operate erratically around another vehicle, then turn into the Sorrento’s parking lot. Police did not locate the truck. At 6:04 p.m. a caller reported that he had received a text message from his girlfriend saying that when she arrived home the door to her residence was ajar. Police checked it out and found everything to be OK. A caller on St. John Lane reported at 10:55 p.m. that a dog in the area had been barking for hours. The dog’s owner was located and retrieved the dog.
