I, as a senior citizen, am happy to see progress on senior housing, a suitable senior center, and a solution to the town center septic problem.
The senior population needs to join the cause of expanding the opportunities at Hildreth House. It really is in need of a large addition that can support luncheons and other activities.
Of course senior housing would be ideally suited there as well.
But more important to me is the expansion of the sewer system that would allow a number of other important developments in the town center. Certainly, “The General” is a welcome revival of some services that we so badly need as town citizens. The old town library is just waiting for the opportunity to find another purpose for itself.
The Inn is handicapped by having a tight tank with a limited septic capacity. How long shall we burden our Conservation Trust with the costs of pumping?
