The Lit’ry Life 2008: Poetry by Kathy Bunnell

August 8, 2008

Spencer

His face aquiver, he races in his dreams.
His pads, no longer the soft pink of puppyhood, move,
Racing through green fields,
His eyes, closed but ablaze
With the sight of small, running creatures.
He wakes with a woof, angry and confused.
Where did they all go?
