Two recent Bromfield grads were among eight graduating seniors in Central Mass. to receive scholar athlete awards from Charter Communications. John Gill received a $2,000 scholarship; Casey Silver received a $1,500 scholarship.
Charter TV3 received more than 100 student applications for the awards, which were reviewed by Kevin Shea, Charter TV3 sports director; Paul Phillips, head coach of men’s basketball at Clark University; Ann Zelesky, associate athletic director at Holy Cross, and Bob Stuart, editor and publisher of the Groton Herald.
