Gardener, mother of Harvard resident

Audrey Broderick, mother of Lynne Byler of Harvard, passed from this life on May 21, 2008. She spent her last week with the Bylers in Harvard, surrounded by two generations of loving family.
Born in Brooklyn on Aug. 6, 1923, Audrey worked during World War II for a rare-book dealer in Manhattan, Edward Ebertstadt & Sons. While raising three children, she worked as an office manager, continuing in that role for a total of 25 years, working for several companies.
Audrey was an avid gardener, planting and tending many gardens in her lifetime, appreciative of the pageantry and scents of the flowers she grew and loved.
She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Ken Broderick, now a resident at Life Care of Nashoba Valley in Littleton; their son Paul, who lives with his wife Cynthia in Iowa City; their daughter Laura Ricard, who lives with her son Andre in Amherst, (his sister Sarah lives in Seattle, Wash.); and their daughter Lynne Byler, who lives in Harvard with her husband John and their three sons, Chris, Andrew, and Will.
