Get the facts first

As a Harvard library trustee before and up to the opening of the new library, I became concerned to read Mr. Kimball’s letter regarding lighting at the library. On inquiry, I was reassured library lighting computer controls are working well as planned. The lighting may have been on for a number of reasons: lights stay on for 30 minutes after closing, cleaning staff may have been busy, authorized persons may have been at work.

While a selectman, Mr. Kimball did not take several opportunities to take a conducted technical library tour to be arranged at his convenience. Would inquiry before writing save us all time?
