Tuesday, October 2: A Prospect Hill Road resident called dispatch to report a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood at 2:30 p.m. When an officer investigated, he found that the car belonged to one of the employees at the Fruitlands Museum. A Bromfield student went to Emerson Hospital by ambulance at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, October 3: There was no activity of any significance.
Thursday, October 4: A Brown Road woman was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center at 2:26 a.m. At 12:35 p.m. a Prospect Hill Road homeowner reported a lost license plate. A Littleton Road resident went to Emerson Hospital by ambulance at 9:12 p.m.
Friday, October 5: Police on patrol noted an open window at the elementary school at 1:37 a.m. A Jacob Gates Road homeowner reported a suspicious truck on that street at 4:14 a.m. When police arrived to investigate, they found a National Grid truck with workers making repairs in the area. A motorcyclist collided with a deer on Bolton Road just before 6:08 a.m., when he came into the station to report a personal injury. The ambulance squad took him to a local hospital, but further details were not available at press time. An East Bare Hill Road homeowner reported a leaking oil tank at 10:07 a.m., and both the police and fire departments responded to the call. The firefighters contained the tank and supervised removal of the contaminated soil. A lunch bag belonging to a hungry Townsend man was turned in to the station at 5:20 p.m.
Saturday, October 6: Harvard police helped Boxborough police assist some transient people in that town on Old Harvard Road at 10:40 a.m. At 12:56 p.m., a report of larceny at Willard Farm came in to dispatch. Both money and produce were taken from the farm stand on Still River Road. Police do have a suspect in the case. A pair of trifocals was turned in to the station at 2:21 p.m. To date, no one has been able to see well enough to reclaim them, and they are at the station for safekeeping. A Shaker Road resident called police to report the sound of gunshot at 5:53 p.m., but police determined the noise was actually a backfiring golf cart at the Shaker Hills golf course.
Sunday, October 7: Police noted two cars at the turnaround on Depot Road near the railroad tracks at 5:27 p.m. After interviewing the drivers, police gave both trespass notices and warned them not to return to the area. Harvard police gave Boxborough police help with a motor vehicle stop in that town at 8:53 p.m. At 9:02 p.m. a Slough Road resident called police to report a suspicious truck on that street. The officer responding to the call found an electrical company truck with workers in the process of taking trees off the wires.
Monday, October 8: A Stow Road man went to Nashoba Valley Medical Center by ambulance at 9:34 a.m. The ambulance squad and fire department both assisted at a severe traffic accident on Route 2 eastbound in Concord at 5:11 p.m. At 7:28 p.m., a Warren Avenue resident was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
