I would like to thank the parents, teachers, students, and community for making this a memorable year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my year as PTA president. When my term ends in June I will not seek reelection. I have accepted an appointment to be program marketing director for the Massachusetts PTA board. I am very excited about the opportunity.
It has been an honor to have been part of the fine work that each program offers the community: membership, directory, volunteer coordination, database operations, email and Husky newsletters, website, fall fundraiser, scrips, Tupperware, cookie dough, Fall Fête, Art in Bloom, hospitality, calendar, original art, boxtops, recycling, Earth Day, curriculum enrichment, Fun Fair, book fair, teacher appreciation, National Honor Society, academic award night, and holiday gift. I thank everyone who tirelessly said “yes” when asked to pitch in and help. Because of all of their efforts, we have been able to pass on to our schools over $77,000 in funds—before our fiscal year is up. We still have Fun Fair on our list of 2007 events. I look forward to serving the town of Harvard at the state level.
