Quarles receives Hartwick College chemistry award

Hartwick College junior Ryan Quarles, son of Ginger and Ben Quarles of Poor Farm Road, is the recipient of the chemistry department undergraduate award in analytical chemistry and an Emerson international internship scholarship. He has also been named a faculty scholar in chemistry and biology and a John Christopher Hartwick Scholar, the highest distinction the college can confer. Quarles is majoring in biology and chemistry. He has participated in the Student 2 Student mentoring program, honors program, pre-med program, Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society, resident advisor staff, Alpha Psi Omega, Major Connections, and fencing club.
