Postal clerk, organic farmer

Marc E. Anderson of Still River, who for the past 19 years was a clerk for the United States Postal Service in North Reading and Woburn, died unexpectedly at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center Monday, June 11, after being stricken ill at his home that afternoon. He was 42.
Mr. Anderson was an active member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel of the Saint Benedict Center in Still River. He also enjoyed farming on his land, where he raised organic vegetables and fruits.
Marc Anderson was born in Woburn May 24, 1965, a son of Nancy C. Knox Anderson and the late Warren Anderson. A graduate of Wilmington High School, he lived in Still River for the past 12 years.
Besides his mother, Marc is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sheila L. St. Marie Anderson; two sons, Joseph Michael Anderson and Joseph Patrick Anderson; and two daughters, Mary Anne Edith Anderson and Maria Angelina Anderson, all of Still River; as well as a brother, David B. Anderson of Lowell, and two sisters, Jean LeBlanc of Goffstown, New Hampshire, and Gail Anderson of Hardwick. He was also the brother of Karen Ventre of Wilmington, who died in 1998.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel of the Saint Benedict Center, 282 Still River Road. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the T. J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg Road (Route 2A), Ayer.
