Flaton becomes Eagle Scout

Ezekiel (Zeke) Fitzpatrick Flaton
of Warren Avenue, 18 years old, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor May 31, 2007, in Harvard. Zeke began his scouting career in 1995 with Cub Scout Pack 773 in Jupiter, Florida. He joined Boy Scout Troop 242 in Newton in 2000, and has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 1, Harvard, since 2002. Zeke has held many leadership roles in scouting, including patrol leader, senior patrol leader and junior assistant scoutmaster. He also served as a staff member for the council’s National Youth Leadership Training Program for two years.

Zeke graduated in June from Bromfield, where he competed on the cross-country, track and field, and math teams, and was a member of the National Honor Society. In addition, he holds a pilot license for gliders and will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall.
