Tacking on another win to its season total, the Bromfield girls varsity tennis team swept the Oakmont Regional High School Spartans Wednesday, May 2. Dominating games by singles players Jacqui Holmes and Greta Hutchinson were the highlight of the afternoon match.
Sophomore Holmes played first singles and beat her opponent by a score of 6–1, 6–0. Senior Captain Greta Hutchinson played equally impressively at second singles and won her match by the same score. Senior Mai Prompen played third singles. After losing the first set 6–7, Prompen came back to win the next two handily by a score of 6–3, 6–4.
Both doubles teams also won. Sophomores Emily Egan and Caroline Korstvedt won by a score of 3–6, 6–2, 6–3, while freshmen Elizabeth Stone and Ali Carley won 6–3, 7–5.
