Bancroft School freshman Rachael Berman, daughter of Daniel and Mindy Berman, of Ohlin Lane, played the trumpet as part of the Upper School Jazz Band’s performance in the Williamstown Jazz Festival April 21. Led by music teacher Matt Glenn, the 16-member band kicked off the second day of the Inter-Collegiate Jazz Festival at Williams College, a component of the 11-day event that included performers from around the world. Bancroft was the only high school band invited to participate in this year’s festival.
