Residents gripe about horses on trails
Conservation Commissioner Wendy Sisson told the board of a number of complaints from residents about horses on the town’s conservation trails. These complaints note that the increased use of trails by horses, especially when the frost is just coming out of the ground, has resulted in the trails becoming wider, in what Chairman Paul Willard described as “eroding muck.”
Discussion among the members led to a decision to invite some of the “horse people” in the community, as well as concerned residents, to a meeting June 7 at 7 p.m.
