Taken out of context

March 30, 2007

Last week the Harvard Press printed a letter that was itself a response to a private email communication from my husband to Tim Clark, a candidate for town selectman. The letter writer took snippets of a private correspondence (which was indeed missent, although not directly to her) out of context with the express purpose of making Tim look bad.

Shame on the letter writer for 1) glomming someone else’s mail and 2) using its contents to accuse and abuse the intentions of two honorable men. What a pity this woman has chosen to travel the low road. How much better it would be if she, like Tim, used her copious amounts of time and energy on behalf of the town of Harvard, instead of dissing its hardworking volunteers.
