Bromfield’s winter sports season has yet to begin, but fans can look forward to the start of swimming and basketball competitions this month. There will be no indoor track or wrestling meets, and the start of a shortened ice hockey season has been postponed until February. The Midland-Wachusett League has been expanded to include 26 central Massachusetts schools, including schools in the Worcester County Athletic Conference. Each school team has been assigned to a six- to eight-member pod.
Bromfield’s swimming and diving teams will be the first to compete. Their pod includes Algonquin Regional High School, Advanced Math & Science Academy, Worcester High School, Gardner High School, Grafton High School, and Nashoba Regional High School.
