Tryouts and practices for the winter season began this week for most sports, with competition getting underway Dec. 11.
Bromfield’s winter teams include boys and girls varsity basketball, swimming and diving, Alpine skiing, and indoor track, as well as junior varsity boys and girls basketball. Hockey is available to Bromfield boys through a co-op arrangement with Littleton and to girls through a similar arrangement with Acton-Boxborough. Bromfield gymnasts may join the Acton-Boxborough gymnastic team as well. Rowing is a year-round sport available through the Bare Hill Rowing Association.
