The Board of Trustees of the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden is delighted to announce that Kelly Marchand has accepted the board’s appointment as Interim Executive Director.
Kelly has been a member of the Garden’s staff for nearly 7 years. Most recently she has been our Integrative Care Coordinator, collaborating with her colleagues to ensure that our day-to-day operations run smoothly. Kelly has an awareness of, and a hand in, nearly every dimension of our operations including coordination of client care, program management, fundraising, and grant writing. She cherishes the mission of the Garden and nurtures it through her actions. Kelly is well-liked and respected by both clients and her colleagues. The board is confident that she is the right person to lead the staff as Interim Executive Director.
We look forward to working closely with Kelly as the Board defines the next steps in navigating this transition. We have begun planning the search for our next permanent Executive Director. We will also be working with the staff and the broader Garden community to ensure we have a solid foundation in place for the future success of the Garden and the success of our new permanent Executive Director. We intend to explore the opportunities inherent in this leadership transition.
