The final weekend of the fall 2006 crew season was certainly eventful. Sunday, October 29, at the Massachusetts Public School Rowing Association state championships, the boys varsity four team finished 15 seconds behind first-place Worcester and won the silver medal.

Friday, December 15, the Bromfield girls varsity basketball team earned their first win of the season, beating the Narragansett High School Warriors by a score of 58 – 32.

The Littleton-Bromfield varsity ice hockey team hosted Nashoba Regional High School in its home opener last Saturday, December 16. The Tigers won by a score of 2–1 for their second win of the season.

December 15, 2006

Last Friday the Bromfield boys varsity basketball team took on St. Bernard’s High School. The Trojans fell by a score of 54–31 to the Bernardians, a Division II state finalist last season. Tuesday the Trojans held their home opener against the Blue Knights of Lunenburg and won by a score of 47–37.

Saturday, December 9, Bromfield sophomore Emily Jones raced in the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship in San Diego, Calif., finishing 25th in a field of 40 runners.

As another basketball season starts, the Bromfield varsity girls are already much improved over last year’s 11-win, 10-loss team.

Coming off their spectacular state championship season, Bromfield cross country runners Emily Jones and Eliza Ives traveled to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx to compete Saturday in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championship Northeast Regional.
