When a student Press reporter graduates, it’s always a bittersweet occasion. Ivy Wang has been writing for the paper since her sophomore year, and it has been a pleasure to watch her develop as a reporter and a writer. We hate to lose her, but we know a great future awaits her. Ivy was one of the first students to participate in Press sports-writing workshops, and last summer she was one of 16 students selected to attend an all-expenses-paid one-week summer workshop sponsored by the New England High School Journalism Collaborative and the Boston Globe. This year, Ivy was instrumental in reviving the Mirror, Bromfield’s student newspaper, the second edition of which will be published shortly. Ivy also won the Elizabeth and Stanley Turner Award and was a National Merit Commended Scholar. She is headed for Johns Hopkins University in the fall. We wish her the very best.
