Superintendent Thomas Jefferson has announced a schedule of interviews for the three finalists for the position of  principal of Hildreth Elementary School.  All members of the community are invited to attend.

School Superintendent Thomas Jefferson confirmed this week that he has been named one of two finalists for the superintendent position in Lynnfield, Mass.

As Harvard baked in summer heat and residents headed for the beaches and mountains of New England, town officials learned this week that Harvard has qualified for a low-interest state loan that will let them begin work on a new town center sewer system early next year.

The new principal for the Hildreth Elementary School will be coming back to a familiar setting. Former elementary teacher Suzanne Mahoney has been chosen from a group of more than 20 applicants to serve as interim principal.

In the only contested race in this year's town elections, Kirsten Wright beat incumbent Stu Sklar by a substantial margin for a three-year term on the School Committee.

The negotiating teams of the Harvard School Committee and the Harvard Teachers Association have issued a press release, announcing settlement of a one-year contract for the 2010/2011 school year.
